AntColony for Mac isn't open to everyone yet. Leave your email and we'll send the download the moment your spot opens.
Requirements
A Mac
Apple silicon (arm64) or Intel (x64). The Apple silicon build is the tested one.
Your own model key
For real runs. Demo mode and demo routines need no key.
For the engineering team
Claude Code and, optionally, the GitHub CLI. The app installs both with Homebrew on its setup page.
Not the App Store
The App Store sandbox would break the ants' browser and Chrome extensions, so the app is downloaded directly.
Questions
Which computers does AntColony run on?
AntColony is a desktop app for macOS. Builds are made for Apple silicon (arm64) and Intel (x64) Macs; the Apple silicon build is the one that has been tested.
Do I need an API key?
No key is needed to try it: demo mode runs a simulated colony, and the first ant does a short real browse so you can watch. Real runs use your own Anthropic key, which the app keeps encrypted with the macOS Keychain.
Where is my data kept?
On your Mac. The colony, its memory (the storerooms), browser logins and downloads live in the app's data folder and ~/Downloads/AntColony. Your model key is sent only to the model provider for the requests that need it.
